Dear Mark, thank you for posting this, I’ve just had a listen and found the video most interesting. I am new to Dr McGilchrist’s work and I don’t have an academic background, yet his work speaks to me and my experience of the world. I am a Tibetan Buddhist of 16 years, which in all honesty make me a very young student of Tibetan Buddhism. And of course, Buddhism does not recognise a ‘God’, and yet, not wanting to let the words we give to things get in the way of hearing and reflecting, I look forward to more reflections in this area.

    Hi David,

What a great meeting! I love the three areas-body culture and spirit. All three resonate with me, and I’m going to sit with them for a little while-a few weeks probably-then return to this chat. I have been a Tibetan buddhist for the last 16 years, with regular teachings and practice, and since discovering Iain’s work, recently, I find myself reflecting within the context this, also in relation to culture, however I hadn’t been thinking in relation to body.

I have really enjoyed reading this conversation, I’m sitting with “let’s strive forward toward a more profound understanding of foundational value, beauty, goodness, and truth rather than trying to convince others that they are mistaken.”
