Hello to my Channel McGilchrist friends. I have been in the process of writing what started as an essay, but has grown into what appears to be a book-in-progress. It is an application of the work of Dr. McGilchrist (especially The Master and His Emissary) in the realm of politics (try not to gag, I know). I believe I’m “onto something”, and Dr. McGilchrist somewhat confirmed my insight with his response to a question I asked in a past Q&A.
Anyway, as you all know and as even Dr. McGilchrist has attested, writing about the brain for the layperson (I am a layperson, myself) is a tall order. I’ve made a lot of progress (approaching 20,000 words) and early reviews from friends/colleagues and one editor I hired have been positive, but I’ve yet to share it with anyone who has read and really gets Iain’s work. I would like to be able to hear from someone who is familiar with The Master and His Emissary, both to be a check on my assumptions but also to help me write it in such a way as to be enjoyable and insightful.
If anyone has experience as a writer or editor and would be willing to consider helping me with this project, please comment or message me directly.

Would love to read it. I have also been writing as a result of epiphanies I’ve had from his work. If you read mine I’ll read yours!
